Who are your main clientsCustomers?

The majority of our work is carried out in the commercial market for county councils, utility companies, the Welsh Assembly Government and blue chip organisations. However, David Lloyd Contractors are accepting more domestic work for Landscaping and tree surgery work.

How are jobs priced?

Requests for quotations can be made by telephone, email or in writing to the company where they will be dealt with accordingly. A site visit will usually be arranged with either the Contracts Manager or Projects Manager, where the work to be done will be assessed with a competitive rate given. The quotation can be provided based on an overall estimate of cost, an hourly rate or a meterage rate depending on the size of the site, whichever method is the most cost effective for the customer and the company.

Where do David Lloyd Contractors work?

The majority of work is carried out in Conwy County, Gwynedd, Anglesey, Denbighshire, Flintshire, Powys and Cheshire, with work previously carried out in the London and South East area of Britain. David Lloyd Contractors travel to any area of the UK to carry out work and aim to remain as competitively priced as possible.

Are any Quality Assurances held?

Yes, ISO 9001 certification was awarded in October 1999 for the provision of Grounds Maintenance Services, tree felling and landscaping. Annual Audits are carried out by Quality Management Systems to assess and approve the standard of work. A complete Quality Policy is available for viewing at any time.

Do you have a Health and Safety Policy?

Yes. David Lloyd Contractors recognises its moral and legal responsibility where health and safety is concerned. Employing over 5 members of staff, a comprehensive health and safety policy has been compiled by Citation plc, external health and safety consultants. The policy includes a Statement of Intent, Environmental Policy, COSHH adn RIDDOR Regulations and can be seen at any time in our offices in Conwy.

Are Risk Assessments and Method Statements carried out?

Site specific Risk assessments and method statements are completed for each contract carried out. Risk assessments and method statements are carried out onsite on a daily basis, especially where specialist work is carried out. Copies can be provided to customers on request.
